Emigration Canyon Community Council

The Emigration Canyon Community Council is a non-profit organization providing “grassroots” representation for Emigration Canyon. ECCC provides a voice for the Canyon and recommendations to the Emigration Canyon Metro Township Council, our local governing body. Through this website, periodic newsletters, announcements, and social media, the ECCC provides ongoing information and education on matters impacting canyon residents. ECCC organizes the annual Firewise event and works to educate residents on wildfire safety.

The ECCC is comprised of 12 elected volunteer members, who are Canyon residents. Each is elected by Canyon residents to a four-year term; six are elected each even year. All 12 serve at-large, as there is no districting in the Canyon.

We have three subcommittees, Safety, Development, and Communications. At any time we may also have working groups assigned to specific projects.

The ECCC is a member of the Association of Community Councils Together.

Here you will find contact information for each of the Council members. Reach out to us at EmigrationCanyonUT@gmail.org with any questions or concerns you have, and we will do our best to address them.

The ECCC typically meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Emigration Canyon Fire Station (5025 Emigration Canyon Rd).  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Please check our calendar for any changes to meeting dates: http://www.emigrationcanyon.org/calendar.

Representatives of the Unified Fire Authority, Unified Police Department, the Metro Township Council, the County Council or staff, the County Mayor or his Township Executive Planning and Development, Transportation, Waste Disposal, Licensing, etc. regularly attend the monthly ECCC meetings.
